When one shies away,
Will the other stay,
Though all alone,
Be that as it may.

When one leaves the path,
Strikes out on his own,
Will the other follow,
Into the great unknown.

When one tries something new,
What will the others say,
Like when the first man flew,
And he tried something by himself.

When one goes out on his own,
By himself and all alone,
Will any others back him,
Or will they want to shun him?

When one strikes a new way,
All is unknown,
What can happen may,
When one is alone.

When the other decides to come,
That sets the people from friends,
When he will do unlike some,
And follow you into the abyss,
That is what a true friend is.
